Salt – no, avoid it! Water – place the stone under a stream of natural running water, such as a brook, stream, or natural spring. Earth – the stone loves contact with the Earth; simply place it on the grass. Obsidian also responds well to being buried. Rock – similar to contact with the Earth; the longer you leave the stone on a rock, the better (at least 1 hour). Moon – charge Obsidian only during the full moon (placing it on a windowsill is sufficient), not in sunlight! Smudging – Palo Santo and white sage work well. Cold – the stone can be placed in temperatures around freezing for approximately 1 hour (e.g. in a freezer). Do not leave it longer, as some stones may become brittle.
